What to expect
Treatment time typically takes 30-60 minutes, depending on area being treated. Allow additional time, total appointment times range 60-90 minutes.
There is no special preparation required before your treatment and you can resume normal activities immediately.
Ultrasound gel is applied to treatment area and a handpiece that emits focused Ultrasound and Radio Frequency energy is placed on the skin surface. The focused energy passes into the skin and is delivered to depths within the tissue to stimulate collagen growth and release stored fat. Of course comfort levels vary from person to person as well as area being treated, some clients may experience discomfort while the energy is being delivered. You may experience a noticeable sensation associated with the focused energy as it is deposited below the surface of the skin during the treatment. The most common sensations felt are heat and a 'pins and needles' feeling, generally these are well tolerated by most clients. If you are sensitive adjustments to settings can be made for your comfort while still receiving an effective treatment.
You are able to return to normal activities and there are no special aftercare requirements. Your skin may appear flushed immediately after the treatment; any redness should disappear within a few hours. It is not uncommon to experience tingling sensation, tenderness to the touch and slight swelling for a few weeks following the treatment, these are temporary in nature. There is the possibility for other rare post treatment effects such as temporary small areas of bruising or numbness.
